For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Will Your House Withstand A Storm?

“As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.”

40 Days - Day 35I Can’t Wait to See Jesus!

The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey…and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Mini-Easter Celebration: Palm Sunday

“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth”

— ZECHARIAH 9:9-10

As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, when the crowds celebrated, waved palm branches and praised Jesus, as many of them had heard his teaching and had seen his miracles. This event fulfilled Zechariah’s prophecy.

The palm branch is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace and eternal life. This triumphal entry into Jerusalem is a foretaste of what will come, as Jesus promised to come again to usher in his Kingdom and rule forever. Sometimes, as we live in this in-between period, it is hard to visualize this future.

We must remember that Jesus wins!  Revelation gives us the “end of the story.” We are told that Jesus will return and establish his Kingdom, where peace, love and righteousness will reign. People from every nation will be worshipping around the throne, holding palm branches in their hands in worship to their victorious King!

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands”  REVELATION 7:9

As we live in this sin-inflicted world, we live in light of the reality that one day, Jesus is going to return to establish his Kingdom, where peace, love and righteousness will reign, and people from every tongue, tribe and nation will be at peace because of our common worship of Jesus.
